It has been a minute since I last posted an update and we have had a few visitors to kick off the new year. It’s always exciting for us to get to show off our little beach town and have had a few occasions to do so since January.
First up my good friend Laurie and her husband Tom came to visit. We had a blast checking out the local shops and over indulging at a few food & bar establishments.
Between guests we had the amazing experience of watching the big game outside with several of our neighbors. Most of my memories of watching the Super Bowl have included snowy weather and hunkering down under blankets with bowls of hot chili. This was a nice change.
Then my sister and brother-in-law came for a long weekend and we had a fabulous time showing them around our little town, spending a day on the beach soaking in the sun as well as trying as many tropical drinks as we could manage.
While the water is still too cold for my taste Don has decided he is going to perfect his paddle boarding skills and has had a few adventures off shore along with some sore muscles.
Most recently our daughter Catherine and her BFF Eli visited for a week. Taking advantage of the beach by day and the local establishments by night. They may have gone home more exhausted than when they arrived.
We know coastal living isn’t for everyone but for us its been a dream while we continue our boat search and if you feel the need to check it out we’d love to show you around.
